    no permissions for private messages

    Hello,
I've recently registered and activated my account.
For some strange reason, I can't write or respond to PMs.

    When I'm at: http://www.footsniffing.com/private.php?do=newpm

    I'm getting the following message:

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

    Help!

You will be able to send and receive private messages when your post count reaches five.

Count is five now; maybe I need to cross the barrier then? Let's see...

Whoops... maybe your friendly neighbourhood moderator might push you across the barrier early.

Edit: No, he didn't need to - it's just that after you hit five posts it can sometimes take a couple of hours for the forum to realise and auto-enable your PM.

    It's working now.
